Mercutio - If The Aging Magician Should Learn To Believe

Posted by Dan Gonyea

While I have spoken much of the lack of music scene in New Hampshire, all the New Hampshire bands I have reviewed up to this point (05/02/06) have been part of the southern and eastern sections of New Hampshire. If you want a dead area for music, visit western New Hampshire. Home to a couple cafes and legion halls for concerts, it’s hard to imagine any band being able to make a name for itself in such an environment. (more…)

Our Last Night - Building Cities From Scratch

Posted by Dan Gonyea

When a band that gets lots of attention from its EP, the full length often has become a disappointment to die-hard fans. Prime examples were the harsh criticisms for Name Taken, Bayside, Senses Fail, and The Early November, all bands who had lost a certain faster element for more mature sound. Always And Forever - Early ‘06 Demos

Posted by Dan Gonyea

Since the coming of This Is The American Dream In Action EP back in 2005, Always And Forever has gone over quite a few changes. Several line-up changes later, the band has a new vitality and new influences that have completed the essential power the band can give with its live show. The next goal: an equally powerful album to complement the band. With the help of Impact Studios in Hollis, the band seems to have gotten it right with four songs in the Early ‘06 Demo that will later be featured in their full-length album. (more…)
