Interview with Anthony Raneri of Bayside

What brought about the Christmas vibe tonight on stage?
Our manager was in the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and I know they used to do it. We’ve heard of a lot of older bands that would do a Christmas thing all the time annually. We loved the idea so we have decided to now start doing Christmas tour with our home town, New York, Boston, Philly, and all those areas around here we love. (more…)

A Static Lullaby

Posted by Dan Gonyea

How has your current tour with I Am Ghost, The Classic Crime, and So They Say been going so far?

Bob came to us when the band was initially doing demos, and he said he wanted the project. Interview with Dan Jacobs of Atreyu in October of 2006.
The entire evening of the World Championship Tour in Worcester, MA was quite awkward. It was the first evening that From First To Last was not a part of the tour, and kids everywhere freaked out as they read the signs that announced the band’s dropping from the show.

Regardless of the controversy immediately surrounding the band’s drop, headliners Atreyu kept determined to continue the tour with the energy as drive as before. Later that evening, Atreyu had to announce that vocalist Alex Varkatzas would not be performing with the band that evening due to personal matters, and again, the fans were getting filled with a sense of anxiety. The nerves of the fans were lifted as Atreyu performed with guest vocalists from Every Time I Die and Bury Your Dead.

Guitarist Dan Jacobs sat down to speak a bit about the tour and give some looks into the new album they will be writing after the tour. (more…)
