[Interview] Death Before Dishonor

Posted by Dan Gonyea

How has this tour with Casey Jones been?
BRYAN: Well we had that huge snow storm hit up here so we missed the first show. We started out on Sunday. Tomorrow we have UMass Amherst area, then Pennsylvania, then North Carolina. It’s been good. The second show was cool. It was in the middle of Virginia, a little smaller but it’s cool. From there, it just picked up. Last night our tour played with the Comeback Kid tour in Long Island. That was awesome. Comeback Kid’s an amazing band. We used to play with those dudes ‘cause of Figure Four back in the day. I love Comeback Kid and love the guys. Awesome show to play. (more…)

[interview] Have Heart

Aaron [from Bane] mentioned that you guys are going out with them to Europe in August.
PAT FLYNN: Yeah, that’s the plan! We’re going out in late August to most of September. Bane is just going to be…. Awesome. It’s a total dream come true, as cheesy as it sounds. I saw them in 2001 or 2000, and if you told me back then that I’d be touring with Bane, and not just that but touring with Bane in Europe, I’d tell you to go fuck yourself. *laugh* I’d be like “Shut the fuck up!” It’s crazy, no words can describe it. Interview with Comeback Kid

Posted by Dan Gonyea

Interview with Jeremy Hiebert, guitarist of Comeback Kid.

Many thanks for DieForThis, area51, Kei Yasui, Derek, and all other members of the Bridge 9 message board (even the several fake Brophys) for contributing to the questions for this interview.

What are you guys up to right now?

Right now we’re doing well, just taking a little time off at home. Heading out on tour in a couple days. We’re just enjoying a little down time right now for a bit!

How excited are you to get your new album out?
Very. It’s been a long time in the works, from the studio and basement writing and recording it to doing all kinds of press stuff to lead up to it, it’s awesome to have everything that has led up to it just finally come to the release we’ve been talking about for so long. It’s good to get it out there. (more…)

INTERVIEW WITH HOT CROSS

Posted by Dan Gonyea

What is Hot Cross currently up to right now, except for walking around downtown Philly?
BILLY WERNER: *laugh* Well, we’re in the process of booking shows to and from SXSW. We’ll be there on the 17th of March. We’re just putting those together to get down there and get back up to the Midwest for shows. Unfortunately, we won’t be hitting the west coast this time around. Also, we’re planning a UK tour at the end of June which would be the last week of that month. Other than that, we’re just gearing up for this record. It’s finally coming out! (more…)

Interview with Only Crime

Your record Virulence is coming out on Fat Wreck Chords on January 23rd. How does this record compare to To The Nines? Should fans expect any big differences?

Zach Blair: I really think it’s more of a product of us just playing together and writing together, developing a sound WE liked, and not caring who else did.

Aaron Dalbec: I think that Virulence is more of our “own sound” as opposed to our first record. When we started writing To The Nines, we had never played together as a band, so we were still getting used to each others’ playing and ideas. Also I think we have grown as a band from the touring we have done since we recorded To The Nines. I also think that Virulence is a lot more “raw” since we did it all live in the studio, all playing at the same time. (more…)
